Solution
First off I have to say that this one did not really sit well with me. I think that it is too open-ended to give us assignments where we basically have to create the whole assignment. Why not specify a product from the get go. This would also make it easier to compare the result between students.
Anyways, after spending too much time finding out what to try to present in different eras, I chose an apple, or more specific an apple farm/producer – Farmer John’s.
My story is that I have been hired to create four posters for their hundredth anniversary. These are to be placed in different decades and show the evolution of the company.
After doing some mind mapping and sketching, I started out creating a logo:
This logo then changes and gets modernized trough the different posters.
I came up with three different concepts for the posters. The product, the human interaction, and the apple factory. I ended up going with the product since it felt most timeless and most relevant for the first posters.

2. 1930s
3.1970s
